Josephine ConnollyJosephine Connolly - Founding Partner & Director

Josephine Olivia Connolly was born into a Salt Cay family and raised on the value of hard work. She credits her success to her parent’s aspirations. After graduating from High School, Josephine attended the Turks & Caicos Business College under the tutelage of Mrs Lileith Allen. The secretarial course left her well prepared for her first job in 1977 as supply assistant at the Pan American Air Force Base in Grand Turk. When the based closed, Josephine was hired by the British West Indies Trust Company as a Corporate Manager. During off hours Josephine was Secretary of the Turks & Caicos Girl Guide Association and the Grand Turk Chamber of Commerce, as well as a member of the Soroptomist Club of Grand Turk.

In 1991, Josephine started Tropical Auto Rentals a car rental company on the island of Grand Turk with five cars. As the business became successful, she expanded into Providenciales in 1994 with an increased fleet of 14 vehicles. Today, Tropical Auto Rentals carries a substantial fleet of vehicles and is recognized for it’s good service. Josephine has also acquired the distributorship through Connolly Kia Ltd. for Kia Motors in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

In 1995, Josephine commissioned the design of a commercial centre that would be the “Gateway of Grace Bay”. Tropical Plaza is situated on the corner of Leeward Highway and was constructed by local builder Sam Lightbourn.

Josephine is also a director and shareholder of Connolly Zahm Properties Ltd, the leading brokerage and consulting firm that has been the main vehicle for most luxury condo-resort sales on Grace Bay since 1998.

Josephine has enjoyed being involved and helping in whatever was possible when she has time, she is a prominent member of the Turks & Caicos Real Estate Association and until recently sat on the Board of Directors for Crime Stoppers, Turks & Caicos.

Josephine is married to Joe Connolly, Managing Director of PriceWaterHouse Coopers and together they have two children - twins Mark and Anne-Marie. In 2003, Josephine decided to take a short vacation from her business and while educating her children in England, she took the opportunity to further her studies by attending the University of Central Lancashire where she acquired her Bachelors Degree with honors in Management and Politics.

In 2007, Josephine also acquired her Florida Real Estate License and became an active member of the Turks & Caicos realtor community. With a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the local islands, Josephine is perfectly positioned to assist buyers and visitors in all aspects of the Turks & Caicos Islands.
